Julie Beth Ertz (née Johnston; born April 6, 1992) is a straight-up beast on the soccer field. She’s holdin’ it down for Angel City FC in the NWSL and reppin’ the United States women’s national soccer team like a boss. This chick made her debut for the national team back in 2013, and since then she’s racked up over 100 appearances for the squad.

In college, Ertz was tearin’ it up for the Santa Clara University Broncos from 2010 to 2013. She got drafted third overall by the Chicago Red Stars in the 2014 NWSL College Draft, and she’s been makin’ waves ever since.
Ertz played a crucial role in bringin’ home the World Cup titles for the United States in 2015 and 2019. At just 23 years old, she was one of the youngest players on the 2015 squad, holdin’ it down alongside Morgan Brian. This girl straight-up dominated the World Cup, playin’ every minute of all seven games and even makin’ the FIFA Women’s World Cup All-Star Team.
In 2017, Ertz made the move to center midfield for her club and country, and she straight-up killed it. She was even awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year. Talk about boss status!
